Brief history of Sibuyan Island
Sibuyan is located in Sibuyan Sea along Romblon Province, Philippines. It has 2 prominent peaks, Mt. Guiting-Guiting and Mt. Nailog. The people speak Sibuyanon of Romblomanon, a Visayan dialect. Sibuyan island is also the historical site of "WW2''s Battle of Sibuyan Sea" where American's and Japanese's battleships were deployed, including the world famous MUSASHI, the biggest Japanese battleship which sunk on October 24, 1944.
The island is known as "The Galapagos of Asia", because it has remained in isolation from the rest of the world since its formation. The people in this island,the Sibuyanon, are protecting their Natural resources from miners and irresponsible tourist by educating them on proper disposal of garbage and disallowing Land mining and cutting of trees. Sibuyanon are friendly and generous that's why some of the foreigners choose to stay and live here.

1.) Mt. Guiting-Guiting Natural Park
It was established as
Natural park to protect the forest which are mainly in the center and north of the island.
"The saw-toothed mountain", in reference to its jagged ridge, is located at the heart of the Sibuyan island. This mountain is still considered as one of the most difficult and challenging Philippine mountain to climb.ππ΄πΏπ⛵

2.) Cresta de Gallo Island
Almost about an hour from the island of Sibuyan you can get to see and experience the crystal clear waters along the shoreline of the islet. The place was paradise with breathtaking views. The turquoise water, warm white sand on your feet, the humming of the birds, the serenity of the waves and the long stretch of sand bar, truly, the place is a perfect getaway. πππππ

3.) Cantingas River Resort
The Resort is located at San Fernando, Sibuyan Romblon Philippines near Taclobo. Cantingas River Resort declared as the #2 Cleanest River in the world. It is a perfect summer getaway for its cool and crystal clear water. The Zipline is now out of service but you can still enjoy your stay by refreshing yourself to its natural pool, jump off the diving board into the turquoise water of the river, River trekking and lie down on the stair-shaped boulders for natural form of massage.πππ
The river is not only for bathing and wellness but also a source of Electricity via Hydro electric power plant.

4.) Falls
Busay Falls- Located at Sitio Cangumba, Brgy. Azagra, San Fernando Sibuyan Romblon Philippines just inside the Rafol Residences. The best season of the year to come here, according to the locals, is from September to January.
Dagubdub River & WaterFalls- Located at Sitio Countryside, Brgy. Espanya, San Fernando Romblon. According to the locals, it has 4 level of falls.
Bila-Bila Falls- Located at Barangay Canjalon, Sibuyan Romblon.
5.) Lamaw Hills Light House
Located at Sitio Gotusun, Brgy. Azagra, Sibuyan Romblon Province. Aside from hiking going to the Light House, you can also enjoy the overlooking view of Lamaw "local term for a lake", an offshore view of Cresta de Gallo, Boracay Island and Tablas Island on the top of the hill where the Parola is located. While resting, you can also enjoy and appreciate the bursting purplish red sunset.πππππ

6.) Beaches
Aside from what I have mentioned above, Sibuyan Island is surrounded by world class quality beaches. Wherein, you can find a variety color and shapes of rocks and pebbles along the shoreline. Even if the island is still isolated, resorts and cottages are available for you to stay overnight or for weeks so you could enjoy your stay. Yes! From the fantastic view of broad daylight up to setting of the sun. You can still enjoy and experience the majestic beauty of the island during sunset. Showing her beauty from sunrise to sunset is just a magnificent sight. πππππ
